    DSG Cool Flow Aluminum Filter Housing

    Your DSG transmission is equipped with a filter inside a fragile plastic housing. Unfortunately the plastic filter housing becomes brittle over time and often cracks during filter changes which are performed every 40,000 miles. Constructed of billet aluminum, the USP Cool Flow housing is far stronger than the factory plastic housing. Not only is the Cool Flow housing stronger, but it also incorporates cooling fins to cool the DSG fluid as it passes through the filter and housing. Installation is straight forward and requires no special tools. This is a must have for every DSG owner.

    Your car's clutch system relies on hydraulics to engage and disengage. When you press on the clutch pedal, pressurized hydraulic fluid is transferred through the clutch line to the slave cylinder. From there, the slave cylinder engages or disengages the clutch pressure plate. The factory clutch line is made from rubber which significantly expands, especially when using an aftermarket clutch. This expansion can cause your clutch not properly disengage leading to difficulty changing gears and transmission damage. Likewise, the factory slave cylinder is constructed of plastic which over deteriorates and eventually fails.

    The USP Metal Slave Conversion replaces the factory clutch line with a reinforced stainless steel line. The USP line will not expand even under the most extreme conditions. The included USP Metal Slave Cylinder connects directly to the USP Clutch Line and replaces the factory plastic slave cylinder. This means your clutch will always properly disengage and you can experience smoother shifts. The USP Metal Slave Conversion is a direct replacement and connects direct to the clutch master cylinder.

    The Audi C8 RS6 intake system is the culmination of extensive development, testing and prototyping. Our aim was to address 2 main criteria: 1) Increased flow rate. 2) Smooth Airflow. The first objective was met by utilising all of the limited space available in the RS6 engine bay which was heavily restricted by the underside of the hood. Our solution was to completely redesign the entire airbox which maximized volume, increased flow entry openings and created a more favourable filter angle to the turbos. Furthermore we dramatically increased the size of the turbo inlets by as much as 85% when measuring the cross sectional area at the openings. The second objective was met by designing an organically shaped system with a custom rounded panel filter to ensure the airflow path contained no sharp corners and therefore allowed for the flow to remain laminar. With smooth transitions from the filter to the turbo inlets, our intake minimises the formation of turbulence and therefore the turbos are able to operate more efficiently. We partnered with BMC for a bespoke filter element to ensure that the filtration area is as large as possible whilst keeping airflow clean.

    With all objectives met, our C8 RS6 intake system delivers on all fronts and allows for the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. This results in an improved throttle response and significant power gains, independently tested which increase with higher states of tune. The performance gains measured are a result of the complete system we have developed from the airbox base to the lid and the inlets.

    The Audi B9 S4/S5 Eventuri intake was developed to give less restrictive airflow to the turbo whilst maintaining low inlet temperatures. The S5/S4 engine bay becomes heat soaked very quickly so simply having an open cone system would result in better airflow but with higher inlet temperatures. We therefore completely re-engineered the inlet track from the turbo inlet pipe to the front grill with a highly efficient sealed system. The restrictive stock airbox and flexible plastic inlet pipe have been replaced with a Venturi filter housing and a duct system with smooth transitions. Furthermore, by removing the convoluted stock inlet pipe and replacing it with our one-piece Venturi housing and solid tube, the airflow is much smoother as it enters the turbo inlet tube. The resulting performance gains and aesthetics are industry leading for this platform.

    The MK5 Supra Eventuri intake has been developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path whilst maintaining low inlet temperatures. Heat and Volume are the main considerations when designing an intake for turbocharged engines. In the Supra, the intake system is located next to the exhaust manifold which rapidly heat soaks the engine bay. High temperatures are detrimental for engine performance as the turbo would have to build boost with heated, less dense air and so the only way to ensure IAT’s are kept to a minimum is for a fully sealed intake. This however, results in a restriction with only one stock air feed to draw air in from. During development we noticed an additional opening into the wheel arch area and took advantage of this by adding a secondary feed to our airbox. Furthermore our sealed airbox also has a heat shield with gold reflective to minimize the radiative heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. In order to maximize volume we made the airbox as large as possible with a recess for potential strut braces. The stock convoluted intake tube is replaced with a smooth carbon tube which is also larger in internal volume with a starting internal diameter of 111mm (4.4″) smoothly tapering down to match the turbo inlet. The tube provides a smooth path from the filter to the turbo inlet. Finally we use a custom made high-flow dry filter which is ISO tested for filtration performance and has a larger filtration area than the stock filter.

    The Mercedes W205 C63S AMG intake system is the culmination of extensive development and testing. Our design brief consisted of 3 main objectives: 1) Increased flow rate. 2) Low intake temperatures. 3) Smooth airflow. The first objective was met by utilising all of the limited space available in the C63S engine bay resulting in a 39% higher flow rate over the stock system. The second objective was met by designing a fully sealed system. The C63S engine bay reaches high temperatures with heat sources like the turbos in close proximity to the intake so it is crucial that the intake remains sealed. The final objective was met by designing an organically shaped system with custom rounded panel filters to ensure the airflow path contained no sharp corners and therefore allowed for the flow to remain laminar. With smooth transitions from the filters to the turbo inlets, our intake minimises the formation of turbulence and therefore the turbos are able to operate more efficiently.

    With all 3 objectives met, our W205 C63S intake system delivers on all fronts and allows for the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. This results in an improved throttle response and genuine power gains which increase with higher states of tune. Since there are various turbo upgrades available for the C63S we have also catered a specific solution for larger turbos. Our C63S intake is available in 2 configurations: 61mm ID outlets to match the stock and hybrid turbos and 3″ ID outlets to match larger aftermarket turbos.
